AUCKLAND AIRPORT

Work To Begin This Year (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 7. A promise that construction would start later this year on a permanent terminal for Auckland airport was made today by the Minister of Transport (Mr Gordon). Sketch plans for the terminal, to cost between $10.5m and sl2m, were approved by the Auckland Regional Authority’s airport committee today.

The plan resembles, in general layout, those produced two years ago, but the cost of the project has been reduced by between $6.4m and sB.lm on today's prices.
