Electricians Awards
Mr P. N. Beckett, of Wellington. gained the highest marks —93 out of 100—in the electricians’ theory examination held by the Electricians' Registration Board, and gained the gold medal award for this section.
Mr J. D. Strachan, of Motueka, gained 98 out of 100 in the practical test, and won the gold medal award for this section. Both awards were presented by A.8.C., Ltd, of Christchurch, in conjunction with A.B.C. Distributors Committee, Wellington. Messrs Beckett and Strachan were also presented with a subscription for one year to the "New Zealand Electrical Journal.” Highest marks In other sections were:— Electrical servicemen’s theory Mr D. S. Cotes, Napier, 1 Of 100. Radio servicemen’s written jiaper: Mr P. Oldfield, Tokoroa, Radio servicemen's written wiring paper: Mr R. H. A. Cochrane, Auckland, and Mr G. R. Teesdale. Hamilton, 98. Limited registration, written paper: Mr F. J. Walton. Christchurch, 98. Limited registration, practical test: Mr O. G. Hansen, Tauplrt, 98.
