Discussions On Laity

Mr R. Young, executive secretary of the department on the laity of the World Council of Churches, visited Christchurch this week during a brief tour of New Zealand. In Christchurch he met members of the staff of the National Council of Churches. On Sunday evening he addressed a service in Christchurch Cathedral and afterwards spoke to young people at the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church.

In Wellington yesterday Mr Young met members of the Christian Education Commission of the N.C.C. to discuss the education of the laity. Before leaving New Zealand he will visit Auckland.
