SURPRISE ENTRIES

Zephyrus And Testify (N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyrightj BRISBANE. Two previous Stradbrok. Handicap winners and two stayer* which have already won the Brisbane Cup have been entered for this year's Queensland Turf Club's double. They are Cabochon and Prominence, which won the double last year, and the 1987 winners Mister Hush and Fulmen. Zephyrus snd Testify, two New Zeeland horses, were surSrise entries in Sydney yesteray for major races at the Brisbane winter carnival. The two horses were entered by the former New Zealand trainer. T. Webster, who is now living in Sydney. ' The horses are in New Zealand, but there Is a strong chance they will be brought to Australia. Webster will train and race them if they come to Sydney, and then take them to Brisbane.

Webster has entered Zephyrus in three major races, the Stradbroke, Doomben Ten Thousand and the Doomben Cup. He has nominated the other horse for the Brisbane Cup and the Doomben Cup. The Sydney trainer, T. J. Smith has. as usual, entered two big teams for each race. On the other hand, the Adelaide trainer J. B. Cummings, who seems to specialise in winning big distance handicaps, has only five in tbe cup and four in the Stradbroke. The Stradbroke Handleap will be run on June 14.
