MARITIME EXERCISE
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 30. Naval forces of S.E.A.T.O. member nations will take part in a combined maritime defence exercise in the South China Sea between May 22 and June 7. A Ministry of Defence statement said that more than 60 naval vessels, from the United States, United Kingdom, the Philippines, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, would take part in the exercise, which had been named Sea Spirit.
