(N.Z. Pre, Association! SUVA. The Auckland sloop Cas-{ tanet seems certain to win handicap honours in the 1200miies Auckland to Suva yacht race. The 30ft 9in Castanet, the lowest rated yacht in the fleet of 27. had the best time of six days six hours 17min 18sec of the 16 preliminary corrected times so far worked out. Castanet’s time is Umin 28sec ahead of the 36ft Panmure sloop Concord. Third place on handicap was still in doubt with eight yachts left to cross the line. The 62ft Auckland cutter Kahurangi won line honours.: Corrected times, in order of' arrival, are: Kahurangi. seven days, seven hours, 41 minutes. 34 seconds: | Myth of Aran 6:18:56:13: Ko-, chab. 6:22:21:31: Concord,. 6:6:28:46; Red Feather, 7:4:52:30: Poseidon. 6.18:18:50; Stella Neus, 6:11:27.5; Con. tessa. 6.22:35:47; Pavo. 7:2:33:43; Arapawa. 7:1:5:32; Roulette, 11:6:23:38; Tarua, 6:16:59:9; Coruba. 6:20:48:40; Castanet, 66:17:18: Avenger, 7:8:1:23; Kaleena, 6:18:21:23. Fan Tan, Intruder and Touches have also arrived, but their corrected time* are not calculated yet.
