Three Titles To Japan

(N Z P. A .-Reuter—Copyright) MUNICH (West Germany). Japan won three of the five titles at stake on the final day of the world table tennis championships. S. Ito beat the West German, E. Schoeller. 19-21, 16-21. 21-19, 21-15, 21-15 in the men's singles. Miss T. Kowada beat the East German. Miss G. Geissler. 20-22, 21-14, 21-17, 21-8. N. Hasegawa and Miss Y. Konno had a 2’l-17, 21-19. 21-19 victory over M Kono and Miss S. Hi rota (Japan) in the mixed doubles.

Hasegawa appeared in two finals, but lost in the men's doubles when he and T. Tasaka were beaten. 21-19, 17-21, 21-8, 21-12, by the Swedish title-holders, H. Asler and K. Joahansson.

In the only all-European final, the second-seeded Russian pair. Misses Z. Rudnova and S. Griberg beat the experienced Rumanian partnership of Misses M. Alexandru and E. Mihalca. 17-21, 21-17, 21-15, 1-21, 21-14, to take the women's doubles.
