The official report on yester. day s Timaru wool <ale issued by the South Canterbury Woolbrokers Association in conjunction with the New Zealand Woolbuyers Association and the New Zealand Wool Commission. says The fifth and final wool sale I of the current season was held iin St Patrick s Hall, Timaru, when the following wools were : offered;—l9.3s4 bales of cur-j rent season’s greasy wools, 7107 bales of greasy wool on; ; account of the New Zealand Wool Commission. 1526 bales of > scoured wool on account of the I New Zealand Wool Commission, and 250 bales of scoured wool on account of local growers. "The greasy wool offered came forward in good order 1 for this time of the season, although some lines showed tenderness of staple cotting and dust. There was a large offering of crossbred fleece but this was closely followed by a good selection of iambs fleece and second-shear wools. The Woo! Commission wools opened up in good order The offering of fine wools was very limited Compared with Wellington, the market was generally unchanged for all descriptions of crossbred fleece and secondshear. Lambs' fleece and crossbred skirtings were very firm. Merinos and halfbreds compared with Dunedin, were nominally unchanged The Comment was the principal buyer, with some support from Bradford and Japan Competition was keen and fairly well spread Wool Commission wools were keenly competed for. and realised values m keeping with the rest of the sale The following is the official range of prices
