Rubbish-Dump Complaints
More complaints about the condition of the council rubbish dump at Allandale were aired at a meeting of the Mount Herbert County Council yesterday. The works committee reported that the Clerk (Mr C. 0. Spiller) had received two complaints at Easter that rubbish had not been covered, and that there was a fly nui- ' sance.
Cr C. C. Manson said the conditions had been disgust-: ing, and Cr M. D. Radcliffe i said that on one occasion the: tip had not been covered for; four weeks. The council decided to get! a supply of spoil and to ar-! range for regular covering' of the tip.
