MALVERN Kirwee has won the Malvern competition for 1966-69. With only one round to be played, the club is in an unbeatable position, 11 points ahead of Sheffield, which has a bye next Saturday. Saturday’s play was marked by a welter of runs. Kirwee’s 279 for three wickets was the highest total of the season, and G. T. Wright (Kirwee), R. Farrant (Darfield") and R. Abbott (South Malvern), all scored centuries. I. Clark (Sheffield), who is still at school, made 81. while K. Shipley (Greendale), had his eighth score of more than 50 for the season.
