NEW YOUTH CENTRE OPENED.—The Governor-General (Sir Arthur Porritt) speaking at the official opening of Te Rangimarie community centre on Saturday. The Gloucester Street centre will be open to Maori youth of all denominations, although it was built by the Roman Catholic Church. The Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch (the Most Rev. B. P. Ashby) blessed the centre during the opening ceremony.
