USE OF FIELD PEAS
JN the item published last week about measures being taken to ensure the elimination of bacterial blight from peas, it was mentioned that where field peas are being saved for seed purposes from crops that have been inspected and found free of the trouble, they will be labelled and sealed by the Department of Agriculture, on the application of merchants. The tags;heve to be
kept and when the crop from this seed is eventually harvested the tags have to be produced to show that the crop comes from disease-free seed. A line of type out of place in the succeeding sentence last week resulted in this not conveying the correct sense—it was that if these tags are not produced then restrictions will be placed on the sale crop.
