(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. Otago scored an overwhelming victory over Nelson to win the South Island final of the Nunneley Casket women’s tennis competition on Saturday. Headed by Miss S. CoClins, the Otago players were in aggressive form and did not lose a set. Results (Otago names first): Miss A. CoKins beat Mrs J. Goodall, 6-0, 6-2; beat Mrs A. Stratford. 6-1, 6-0. Mrs M. Kennie beat Mrs Goodall, 6-1, 6-1; beat Mrs Stratford, 6-1, 6-1. Miss A. Blakely beat Mrs K. Conway, 6-4, 6-3; beat Mrs B. Buckton, 6-1, 6-1. Mrs L. Wilson beat Mrs Conway, 6-0, 6-2; beat Mrs Buckton. 6-2. 6-4.

Miss Collins and Mrs Rennie beat Mesdames Buckton and Stratford, 6-1, 6-1; beat Mesdames Goodall and Conway, 6-0, 6-2: Miss Blakely and Mrs Wilson beat Mesdames Buckton and Stratford, 6-1, 6-1; beat ‘ Mesdames Goodall and Conway, 6-0, 6-0.
