DRIVER DIES

(N.Z. Press Association) MASTERTON, . Feb. 6. A man died after the car he was driving and a truck collided at the corner of High Street and Richmond Road, Carterton, at 6 a.m. today. He was

James Boeson, aged 71, of Richmond Road, Carterton.

Mr Boeson suffered serious head injuries and was treated by a Carterton doctor at the scene of the accident. He was dead on arrival at the Masterton Public Hospital.

New Generator.—A further 55,000 kilowatts of electricity will become available for the national grid today when the No. 3 generator at the Aviemore hydro-electric station on the Waitaki River comes into commission.—(P.A.)
