OBITUARY
MR M. F. DALY (From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH. Mr Michael Francis Daly, who died in Greymouth last week, was a South Canterbury trainer many years ago. He brought horses to meetings on the West Coast, among them Countervane and Belfort, which he trained for the late Messrs Clive Kettle and Eldon Coates. His last winner at Ornoto was a mare named Requite. Mr Daly, who was a jockey before the First World War, had lived at Omoto for the last 35 years.
