Mr Thomson To Tour Asia

WELLINGTON, January 22. The Minister of Defence (Mr Thomson) will tour South-East Asia in a few months time as part of his annual inspection of New Zealand’s overseas defence establishments.
He said today after a meeting with the Singapore Finance Minister (Dr Goh Keng Swee) that although arrangements had not yet been completed he expected that his visit would be made before the proposed five-Power defence talks in Canberra in May.
