Israelis Accused

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) : AMMAN, January 7. | Jordan has accused Israel of launching an artillery and helicopter attack on the village of Safe, two miles south of the Dead Sea, yesterday, killing three civilians and wounding five. A' communique says the Israelis attacked the village with field artillery for 20 minutes, after which two helicopters flew over the area and machine-gunned civilians. Another communique announced that Jordanian and, Israeli forces last night exchanged mortar fire for 40 minutes in the Al-Maghtas area, three miles south of the King Hussein (formerly Allenby) Bridge.
