ANTARCTIC STUDY

Party Of N.Z. Scientists A party of New Zealand scientists, university staff and officers of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research will fly to the Antarctic next week for a study visit. The party will include Dr H. S. Thompson, a senior meteorologist with the D.5.1.R., Mr A. J. Danks. chairman of the University Grants Committee, Mr R. Henderson, chief administrative officer of the D.S.I.R. in Wellington, Mr W. S. Boyes, assistant Surveyor-General of the Lands and Survey Department and other men whose names have not been released. A spokesman for the D.S.I.R. in Christchurch said yesterday that the party would be flown to the Antarctic on January 15 by the United States Navy and would be there about 10 days.
