Eve-Of-Tour Match
The Canterbury water polo team selected to play the New Zealand Colts side tomorrow evening at the Centennial Pool is considerably below full strength. As well as being short of three strong field players— B. M. Mustchin, I. L. Gunthorp and T. M. McGirr—who will be playing for the national team, R. A. Leach is in the North Island.
It will be the colts’ final game before leaving for Melbourne on Friday morning, and the Canterbury players can expect a hard, fast encounter with their younger and fitter opponents. P. G. C. Hay, G. M. Leek, R. Gunthorp, and J. van Dyke will have, their first games for Canterbury, The Canterbury teams is: MacDonald, van Dyke, Leek (University), P. K. Hatchwell, Tilrpin (Christchurch), I. S. Farquhar. R. Gunthorp (Wharenui), P. G. C. Hay, M. J. M. Hay (Elmwood), Plrie (Jellie Park), M. C. Scott (Beckenham).
