Rabbi Attacked In Tangier
CV Z P.A -Reuter—Copyright) TANGIER, Jan. 4. •Jarvin Cohen, the 70-year-old Chief Rabbi of Tangier, was stabbed and seriously wounded by an unknown assailant in the old city here today. Rabbi Cohen was attacked from behind in a narrow street near the Shocron Synagogue. where he had attended Sabbath services. He was rushed to hospital, where doctors said he had been stabbed in the neck behind the right ear. He was paralysed down the right side as a result. His condition was described as very serious.
Police sources said that no arrest had yet been made.
