Australian Grazier Has Rolls-Royces To Sell
r.v Z Press Asjn—Copyright) I SYDNEY, Jan. 5.| An Australian grazier has a ham full of Rolls-Royces for sale. Newspapers reported here today that Mr F. Palfreyman, of Burleigh Heads, on the south coast of Queensland, was putting up 15 RollsRoyces, including 11 Silver Ghosts, for sale at an auction on his property on March 20.
The "Sunday Mirror” said that Mr Palfreyman's collection of 26 Rolls-Royces was the biggest in the world. The cars for sale are ail models built between 1920 and 1929. Mr Palfreyman is keeping the other 11 cars in his collection, among them eight veterans built before 1918. Mr Palfreyman garages the cars in an enormous bam on his property He has been building up his collection for 12 years. No reason has been put forward for his decision to sell the cars, but Rolls-Royce ex-
perts here predict that would-be buyers will flock to the auction from all parts of the globe. In fact, the auctioneer (Mr G. Sevenoaks) said, one person from England had written with an offer to buy the lot. “But as it has been advertised the auction will take place,” Mr Sevenoaks said. Mr Sevenoaks said that a 1914 Silver Ghost was sold at auction by Sotheby’s in London last year for more than £lO,OOO.
