The fee for Dixon was 825.715 and in part exchange Salford transferred the wing, M. Kelley, who had been on its transfer list at $6439. So the fee for Dixon beat the world’s previous highest —the $28,885 paid to Hunslet by Leeds in 1961 for B. Shaw.
