INSTANT POOL INSTANT GARDEN INSTANT PATIO
The “packaged,” or “off-the-peg” pool, is answering the needs of many homemakers, for whom a built-in, custom-made pool is not practical, or beyond their price range. It is also known as the “instant pool,” because even the largest ones can be erected in a day. Available in England for a number of years and well established in Australia the “instant" pool is now available in New Zealand. The first 12 of the large 15ft diameter model to arrive in Christchurch sold out very quickly. The manufacturers hope to produce what they call the Twin Lake design. One model is 26ft long, 15ft wide and 4f': deep. Pool equipment includes a filter, surface skimmer, pool vacuum cleaner and ladder. They are one-fill pools. The water does not need changing all summer, if the pool chemical and the filter are used correctly.
Constructed on a bridgelike principle, with a framing of tough steel, they have a heavy duty, blue vinyl lining, which is chemical and mildew resistant Owners often build a sunbathing deck at pool height, or place shrubs to soften the outline of the pool.
Instant Gardening This is a great convenience to busy homemakers. Pre-cast paving stones of exposed aggregate, for patio floors, stepping stones and pathways, are an attractive shortcut construction idea. Inset in sand, or soil, they quickly look as if they have been established for years. This same short cut is used for instant gardens. Wellgrown shrubs, and flowers in bloom, grown in containers, can be left in there or planted at any time of the year.
Quite tall trees in tubs are available too.
