Commencing salary according to experience. LOCATION: Strathgordon, Gordon River Power Development. DUTIES: Responsible to the Electrical Engineer, Civil Construction at Head Office, for the installation, operation and maintenance of all electrical services associated with construction of a major hydro scheme. The successful applicant will be in charge of all such services in the area. Power is obtained from a multi unit diesel generating station of 5095 kVA capacity, currently under construction. Main distribution is at 22kV with local distribution at 415 V. Electrical installations consist of cableways, crushing plants, batching and mixing plants, underground reticulation, and a central village comnrising married and single quarters. QUALIFICATIONS: Eligibility for admission to the Institution of Engineers, Australia. EXPERIENCE: Preferably to have had wide experience in electrical services associated with major civil engineering undertakings. Experience in the heavy and/or mining industries is desirable, but not essential; ability to organise and control staff is essential.
