Next Fight For Rose

(N.Z. Press Association» ! MELBOURNE. ) The world bantam-weight boxing champion, Lionel |Rose, may have his next fight, a non-title bout, in Bangkok, Thailand. His prospective opponent is the world fly-weight champion, Chartchai Choinoi. Rose’s manager, Mr J. Rennie, said last night he had received an offer from a Thailand promoter offering $75,000 for a title fight, or $20,000 for a non-title bout in Bangkok.

“We are definitely interested in the non-title offer as the fight could be a warm-up for Lionel’s next defence of his title, which could be in Australia,” Mr Rennie said.
