HAGLEY H.S. ROLL

During the year 179 pupils, 97 of them girls and 82 boys, had left the Hagiey High School, bringing the roll to 948—565 boys and 383 girls—on November 14, the headmaster (Mr T. R. Richards) said in his annual report to the monthly meeting of the school's board of governors last evening. It was estimated that 720 pupils would return next year, he said. New entrants totalled 356 so far. but generally 40 to 50 enrolled between now and February 5. Staff were being obtained for 1095 pupils. Mr Richards said that the foundations were down for the new library, but the art and craft room and music room seemed as far away as ever.
