SWIMMING COURSE

The 246 children of Lyttelton West School/ will participate in a swimming week next week. The headmaster (Mr N. Burnell) said yesterday that the aim was to teach every child to swim. The children will be out in six groups, according to ability and not age, and each child will have three swimming periods daily, each lasting a quarter of an hour. Teachers, assisted by an expert in physical education, will provide tuition.
