“Spuds In Pubs”
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 8. Breath tests have helped to boost sales of potatoes. Motorists are eating them to help absorb the alcohol, the “Daily Mail” reported. The Potato Marketing Board’s “spttds-in-pubs” campaign has led to the sale of more than 100 extra tons of potatoes to hotels and restaurants each week.
