VINTAGE CARS Rally This Week-end

The annual rally of the Canterbury branch of the Vintage Car Club will be held this week-end. The 118 vehicles in the rally will be of various descriptions, but all will have one thing in common—they were made between 1901 and 1930. Among those not seen at previous rallies are a 1909 Briton car from Invergargill, a 1927 Leyland fire-engine from Hororata, and a 1913 Ford delivery van from Rangiora. This van was in service in the Sefton district for many years.

The rally will leave the Northlands Shopping Centre at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The vehicles will cover distances varying from 30 miles to 90 miles. In the evening a cabaret and presentation of trophies will be held.
