Apple Decision Questioned
(N.Z. Preu Anociauon) WELLINGTON, Nov. 3. Concern at the Government’s refusal to allow importation of Canadian apples had been expressed at the New Zealand Fruiterers’ Federation week-end conference. The federation’s president (Mr H. Clark) said that it would be two or three months before local supplies were adequate. Last week the Minister of Industries and Commerce (MShelton) said It was decided not to import apples because of the high price.
