Paparua C.C. Committees

Mr D. H. Warren was reelected chairman at he first meeting of the newly-elected Paparua County Council last night, and Cr H. W. Bennett was re-elected deputychairman. The chairman’s honorarium was left at $2500, an amendment by Mr Warren that it be reduced to $2OOO being lost.

Advisory members of the county town committees elected were:—Sockburn (from 11 nominations), Messrs J. R. Bowman, F. de Lore, D. J. W. Hampton, A. C. McEwen, N. S. Spiers; Hornby (10 nominations), Messrs W. H. EHwood, C. K. Patel, T. B. Whelan, G. S. Woodward; Halswell (11 nominations), Messrs A. W. Black, I. S. Cameron, R. H. L. Hamilton, A. F. Leslie, K. H. Richards, A. G. Sunbeam.
