Concern Over Publicity

(N.Z. Press Association} NAPIER,’Oct. 3. Publicity about material considered but not banned by the Indecent Publications Tribunal is concerning the National Council of Women. At its conference in Napier today, the conference decided to express its concern to the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) and the tribunal. The conference will also say it would like to see more frequent use of the tribunal’s power to restrict publication of its findings to the New Zealand Gazette. A copy of the letter will be sent to the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association.
