Anti-shark Patrols

( (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Sept. 16. ' As precaution against attack by shark, the Otago Surf Lifesaving Association will provide three boats and a canoe which will patrol the breaker line off the main Dunedin beaches. Motor boats will patrol St Kiida, St Clair, and Brighton, and a surf canoe will patrol off Moana Rua. The motor boats will be equipped with shark guns—which fire a missile with an exploding head device. They will carry first-aid kits. The equipment has cost about $5OOO.
