(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) BRIDGEHAMPTON (New York) M. Donohue (United States) won the Bridgehampton grand prix on Sunday after the New Zealand drivers, B. McLaren and D. Hulme, retired with engine trouble while running first and second. Hulme and McLaren shared the lead until the thirty-fifth lap when J. Hall led briefly McLaren gained the lead in the thirty-ninth lap with Hulme running second until he retired in the fifty-second lap, This let Donohue into second place behind McLaren. When the New Zealander withdrew in the sixty-second lap Donohue went on to an easy win from Hall and L. Motschenbacher. There was some consolation for McLaren as Hall drove a McLaren Chevrolet and Motschenbacher a Ford-powered I McLaren.
