ANZAC DAY PARADE

Regular Force Units (N Z Press Association' WELLINGTON. Sept. 16. A suggestion that Regular Force units parade at Anzac Day services to bolster declining attendances was adopted by the annual meeting of the Wellington Returned Services Association tonight In its annual report, the membership and publicity committee said it was concerned at the drop in membership—l 27 in the Wellington association and 728 in branches throughout New Zealand.

The president, Mr A. A. Gerrie, said in his foreword to the association’s annual report that the question of amalgamation of some branches should be seriously examined. Mr Gerrie said that in some areas “It is becoming increasingly obvious that R.S.A. is a name on a building and nothing else.”
