Salary attached to the positions is $3OOO x $2OO-$4400 (bar) $4600-$5400. In exceptional cases appointment may be made to a readership at a salary between $5600 and $6600 per annum. For a readership commencing salary may be increased as a result of the review which is made at the beginning of each year. The appointment will be for one year in the first instance. A new three bedroom, unfurnished house will be available for rental. An applicant should possess a registerable degree in veterinary Science, preferably with some experience in general practice. The appointee will work under the immediate direction of the Officer-in-Charge of the Pastoral Veterinary Centre, Goondiwindi, Queensland. He will be required to operate and develop practice with individual large and small animals and take a special interest in surgery. He will have the opportunity to enrol for a higher degree. He will be expected to encourage research activity in his own field. (October 11). TEACHING REGISTRAR IN RADIOLOGY Applicants must hold a Medical Degree registerable in Queensland. Applications will be considered from candidates who are holders of a recognised post-graduate qualification in Radiology, or have secured the first part of a diploma in the specialty, or from candidates who do not possess either of these qualifications. The appointee will act as a Registrar within the subDepartment of Radiology of the University at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. The responsibilities of the appointee will be clinical and teaching and investigative as follows: to act as a part-time Registrar in the Radiological Department of one of the teaching hospitals and in the University sub-Depart-ment of Radiology, to undertake such teaching duties as may be allocated. Adequate time will be allowed for post-graduate study. Instruction in diagnostic radiology will be given and there will be opportunity for research. (October 11).
