$350 To Play In Tennis (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Pakistan’s leading tennis player, H. Rahim, has been offered $350 by the Lawn Tennjs Association to compete in tournaments in New Zealand between December 14 and January 21. December 14 is the opening day of the Wellington championships. The Rhodesian Davis Cup player, H. Irvine, has also been invited to tour New Zealand at the same time for a fee of $250. The players will be asked to compete in at least five major tournaments in New Zealand, including the Wellington and Auckland championships, the North Island titles at Waikato, and the national championships at Auckland. Nelson will stage this season’s South Island championships, from January 14. The national hard-court championships, during Easter, 1969, have been offered to the Hawke’s Bay association.
