Theft From Car Park

More than three gallons of petrol were siphoned from a car parked on the first deck of the Christchurch City Council’s parking building at the corner of Manchester and Gloucester Streets on Sunday night. The thief spilt about half a gallon of petrol beside the car when either the can overflowed or he knocked it over. There were no lights on in the building when the theft was discovered at 11 p.m.
