ANTARCTIC FLIGHT

Two United States Navy ski-equipped Hercules, which will fly from Christchurch to the Antarctic, arrived at Christchurch Airport on Saturday. They are expected to fly to McMurdo Station tomorrow with university scientists, scientific equipment, fresh provisions and mail. It will be the seventh winter flight to the Antarctic by the Navy’s VX6 Squadron.
