Cruelty To Animals

Sir,—Mr Glen draws muchneeded attention to the rights of creatures. The shades of Noah and Norman Bell miist watch his cause. Where would we be if no Ark had rescued those to whom this, world still owes so much on food, clothing, and companion happiness? Is any modern ark pre-

pared to salvage animals in the event of nuclear cataclysm? The least humans can do in return for animal use and exploitation is to protect them from cruelty and unnecessary suffering. God bless Mr Glen’s stand on their behalf.—Yours, etc., REASON NOT EMOTION. August 21, 1968.
