Eisenhower ‘Determined’

General Dwight D. Eisenhower’s spirit and determination were praised by his family and associates today as he managed to survive the fifth day after being stricken by his fourth heart attack this year. But doctors at the Walter Reed Army Hospital describe his condition as critical, adding that his chances of recovery were unpredictable. The Republican Presidential candidate, Mr Richard Nixon, said after visiting the former President: “His chances of recovery certainly are not to be underestimated in view of his tremendous spirit It’s contagious "
