Found Guilty Of Receiving

An 18-year-old galvaniser’s labourer, Ivan Rex Harris (Mr M. F. Hobbs), was acquitted on a charge of burglary of Midgley’s Garage, Cranford Street (near the Main North Road), on June 2, after standing Supreme Court trial yesterday, but was found guilty on an alternative charge of receiving three car tyres, valued at $3O, on or about the same date. Mr Justice Macarthur remanded Harris, who had pleaded not guilty on both charges, for sentence on Friday.

Mr P. G. S. Penlington prosecuted for the Crown.
