MAIL BAGS STOLEN

(N.Z. Press Association)

AUCKLAND, August 21

Two bags of first-class mail were stolen from the Glen Innes Post Office late last night and posting boxes at two other post offices in eastern suburbs of Auckland were interfered with, although it is not yet known whether mail was taken from them. Some street letter boxes were also interfered with.

One bag taken from the Glen Innes Post Office was found virtually intact in the nearby railway yard. The other has not been found.
