WELLINGTON, August 19 Two men who punched and kicked another man unconscious and left him lying on a footpath were each gaoled for a year today. In the Wellington Magistrate’s Court, Mr M. B. Scully, S.M., termed the attack a brutal one that he would not tolerate. Andrew Lockwood Waikare. aged 23, a builder’s labourer, and George Winikeri, aged 32, an unemployed bushman, admitted a joint charge of injuring Ronald Woodley on August 1 with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
