ABDUCTION OF GIRL
Youth Put On Probation

NAPIER, August 19.
A 20-year-old Wellington youth, Leslie Love, who was convicted last week on charges of abducting a 15-year-old girl and of being idle and disorderly, was put on probation for a year when he appeared for sentence in the Napier Magistrate’s Court today, “I think you are genuinely fond of this little girl who has been with you in your wanderings through the country,” Mr W. K. L. Dougall, S.M., said to Love.
The Magistrate told Love not to associate with the girl and to return to his parents.
