AN EXHIBITION OF “P” DOLLS (“P” for peculiar portraits) has opened at a department store in Tokyo. The dolls depict celebrated personalities in action. The creations are the work of the Japanese artist, Docha Hirao, of Nagoya, who calls them “coloured picture sculptures.” These two examples are Dr Albert Schweitzer and a Negro child and the Beatles with a go-go dancer.
