Dead (N.Z. Press Assn.-—Copyright) CAIRO, August 18. A chartered United Arab Airlines Antonov airliner crashed into the Mediterranean today and all 40 people aboard are believed to have died, N.Z.P.A.-Reuter reports. The Russian-built Antonov--24, on a flight from Cairo to Damascus, crashed into the sea about 110 miles north of Port Said and 60 miles south of Cyprus. The 33 passengers and seven crew were all Arab nationals. The passengers were six Egyptians, one Jordanian, one Sudanese, one Algerian, eight Palestinians, four Syrians and 12 Iraqis. The crew were all Egyptian.
