UNKNOWN INJURY

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH.

A well-kept secret of the third Rugby test against France last Saturday has been revealed. The King Country lock, C. E. Meads, almost did not play because of a gash on the calf of a leg, suffered during a training run, and finally played with several stitches in the leg. This was revealed at Taumarunul yesterday as the King Country prepared for its trip to New Plymouth for today’s match with Taranaki. Meads suffered the injury while playing soccer during a training run at Auckland.
