Rain Halts Cricket (NZ.P.A.-Reuter—Coppright) LONDON. Rain restricted play on the second day of the Australian v. President’s XI cricket match yesterday. Rain was still falling steadily when the umpires inspected the pitch 75 minutes before the scheduled finish. They abandoned play for the day. The President's XI, resuming at 13 for no wicket, was 195 for four in reply to Australia’s first innings total of 222, D. Amiss being top scorer with 61.
