Russian sprinters equalled world and European records during the national track and field championships at Leninakan yesterday. Lyudmila Samotyesova equalled the women’s world 100 metres record with a semi-final time of ll.lsec. She now shares the mark with the Americans, Wyomia Tyus and Barbara Ferrell, and Irena Kirszenstein (Poland). Miss Samotyesova went on to win the final in
V. Sapeya equalled the European record when he won the men’s 100 metres final in lOsec.
